Wags supports the efforts of local shelters and rescue groups to find homes for abandoned and homeless dogs. The following are some great dogs that are looking for good homes.

Currently For Adoption

DINO

Dino is a 7 year old cattle dog mix with the unique feature of two different color eyes. He was an owner surrender in Ohio. He is good with kids, cats and great with other dogs. He is housebroken. He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses.

RUBY

She is an approximately 12 year corgi mix that is much cuter in person than her picture indicates. She is very spry and does not show her age at all. She is great with dogs but should not go with cats - she is a little too interested. Ruby has been living at Wags for a few months now and she is quite the character. Please ask to see her the next time you visit.

Adopted!

RUDY:

Was adopted by Barbara and Victor after several months of fostering him!

Rudy is an 11 year old yellow lab available for adoption through Labs4Rescue.

Below is his write up.

Walter

Walter was adopted into a fabulous where he happily spent his last months. He will be missed by all.

Walter lives at Wags as of June 2009 and is looking for a new home. He is an older gentleman, about 10 years of age. We believe he is a collie/aussie mix. He is a very sweet and gentle dog, and he likes other dogs. We believe that he is deaf or mostly deaf.

Annie

ADOPTED - To a wonderful Wags family. She joins Mac the beagle.

Annie lives at Wags as of June 2009 and is looking for a new home. She is about 10 years of age but is YOUNG 10, with enough energy to go hiking and playing and whatever you would like to do!. She is a beagle mix. She has wonderful house manners: she is quiet, housebroken, good with kids and all people. She gets along with respectful dogs and walks well on leash. She is a true "Velcro dog" and just wants to hang out with her people!

Stevie Wonder

Stevie found his new home on June 1, 2009 after a long time at Wags! We are very happy for him!

Stevie lives at Wags and is available for adoption through Danbury Animal Welfare Society. More info and Stevie's own page are coming soon.

Leonard (Lenny)

Lenny was adopted May 2009 by our staff member Sharon! Yea!

Lenny lives at Wags and is available for adoption through Danbury Animal Welfare Society. Lenny is an older gentleman, about 8 years old, and is probably a beagle or hound mix. He is quite a character and we love him here at Wags. He does well with other dogs and is very affectionate with our staff and loves to snuggle. However, he does have his quirks and can be stubborn, and we don't recommend him in a home with young kids. He is very funny and in good health.

Sammy's Puppies

All the puppies have been adopted!

We are working on the adoption of 10 pups looking for homes in late March 2009. Their mom is Sammy, a golden retriever. Their dad is unknown but all the puppies are black or brindle in color. Click here to see pictures of all the puppies and their mom!

Edward (Eddie)

Update!! Eddie was adopted by a family in Newtown and is doing great.

Eddie just joined us here at Wags on June 29th. He is a one-year old terrier mix who weighs about 15 pounds, but needs to gain some weight! He was found on the side of the road as a stray. But now he has all his vaccines, vet checked, and will be neutered on July 11th. Eddie is GREAT with other dogs and good with cats too. He is playful and puppyish. He can be a little bit yappy in a home and in our office when he sees strangers - typical of a terrier! Eddie has lots of personality and will be a great dog for a family.

Ohio Pups - Jan 2008

Update!! All of these guys got adopted through DAWS!

Reilly

Reilly lives at Wags and is available for adoption through Labs4Rescue. She is a 3 year old yellow lab (mix?).

Bob
